Szentkirály - 16 February 2024 For immediate release.
Kéri Ltd., a local business that also offers a restaurant, pizzeria, self-service car wash and petrol station, has partnered with evDirect, one of Hungary's leading electromobility service providers and charging point operators, to operate new DC (DC) and AC (AC) chargers for electric vehicles (EVs) at its Szentkirály site.
The filling station is located close to the M44 motorway, a few minutes' detour from the motorway between Békéscsaba and Kecskemét, along the newly renovated main road between Lakitelek and Kecskemét.
The new chargers, located at Kéri Restaurant and Pizzeria, are part of evDirect's network of more than 80 charging stations in Hungary. evDirect, formerly known as 101 ev Grid Ltd, is currently undergoing a name and logo change to reflect its vision of providing fast, convenient and affordable charging solutions for electric car users.
The 120 kW DC charger can be extended to 180 kW in the future, if the grid operator upgrades the electricity network. The DC charger is equipped with two 500A CCS2 cables and supports 900V DC architecture, making it compatible with most electric car models on the market. The AC charger has two 22 kW (3x32A) Type-2 sockets.
Both chargers allow two cars to be charged simultaneously, with the DC charger dynamically sharing the available power between the two cars. Charging is initiated by scanning a QR code on the charger, which directs the user to the evDirect website. Within a few weeks, POS terminals with credit card will be installed on both chargers, allowing users to pay by card.
"We are very excited to partner with evDirect and offer our customers the opportunity to charge their electric vehicles while enjoying our food and services. We believe that electric cars are the future of mobility and we want to support the transition to a greener and cleaner transportation system," said József Kéri Kéri, owner of Kéri Ltd.
"We are pleased to be working with Kéri Ltd to expand our charging network in Szentkirály. Our aim is to make charging electric cars easy and accessible for everyone. With our new chargers, motorists can enjoy the benefits of fast and reliable charging, as well as the convenience of having a restaurant, pizzeria, self-service car wash and gas station nearby," said Ariel Hartung, CEO of evDirect.
The chargers are supplied by Autó Széles Kft., Zerova (https://www.villamgyors.hu/) and Mennekes (https://toltodjfel.hu/) chargers in partnership with an exclusive Hungarian distributor.
The new chargers are now open to the public and available 24 hours a day. For more information, visit the https://www.keripizza.hu/ and the https://evdirect.hu/ website.
